14K yellow gold brooch is set with large moonstones and accent rubies in a substantial three flower setting. The moonstones have a gorgeous billowy glow. The rubies have an amazing bright red with beautiful sparkle. High quality and classic Wordley Allsopp & Bliss design.
The eighteen moonstones are polished cabochons, they average in size 10.00 mm x 7.00 mm and the four round rubies measure 3.00 mm.
The brooch is 14K yellow gold and marked WAB (Wordley Allsopp & Bliss) 14K. The brooch measures a substantial 3 1/2″ long x 2 3/8″ wide and it weighs 24.50 grams, gems and 14K gold combined. The flower heads measures 1″ in diameter each and they’re fantastic!
Attached to the back of the brooch is a hinged pin style fastener and a catch.
The New Jersey manufacturing firm of Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss (in operation from 1907 until 1956) was known for its extraordinary cufflinks and fine jewelry. In fact, this company supplied a large quantity of jewellery to Tiffany & Co. way back in the day!
